Phil joined the Wales Tourist Board (now WAG Department of Enterprise, Innovation & Networks) in September 2002. He has been administering the investment support scheme in North Wales for over two years. The role involves working with the Business Consultant in the area to bring forward tourism projects, which provide a sound fit with the WAG strategies and priorities, particularly those which support the WAG Product Action Plans.
Projects are varied and may involve the upgrading of accommodation services, restaurants, attractions, or the development of new cycle trails etc. The projects are then assessed in terms of priority / fit with strategy, viability, evidence of demand for proposal and additionality.
